This week has been a crazy week.
On Tuesday evening we were sitting at the kitchen table. Is was raining fairly hard and family windy. All of a sudden the intensity of the wind increased three fold.
I said to the kids, “Okay everyone, Powder Room, now !!!!”
It lasted about 2 minutes, we lost power and it was still raining.
We had just been side glanced by an EF-2 (around 135 miles per hour winds) tornado.
We got off fairly easily.
I have been in cyclones, earthquakes and now a tornado. The damage that can be done by these in such a short space of time makes them extra dangerous, compared to cyclones. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it.
Here is a link to a video of it: https://facebook.com/ajcella/videos/10219734847911567/

Below are some pictures that we took then and the day after.
Firstly a map that shows the route and how blessed that we were. The black circle shows where we are:
Here’s how close the car was to being hit by a part of a tree:
This one shows how much force the tornado had. This is the wrought iron fence that was around the pool. Is was completely flattened:
This one shows damage to one of our neighbor’s homes:
